A Quick Visit With Pop

We got to have a quick visit with Pop at Beach Park. We hoped that the hamburger shack there would have been open, but no such luck. Dad looked great and we can't wait to see him when he comes up for a visit next month.

I'm A Big Boy Now

Devin had fun at Beach Park in Bakersfield. I played at this same park when I was little, every year we would stop here on our way to Sequoia. As you can see in the photo, Devin had no problem going up the ladder and down the slide all by himself.

Dana had a blast being the fish/mermaid that she is. I think we only saw her out of the water twice the whole time we were there.

Devin didn't quite know what to make of the sand at first, but he eventually got around to liking it. As you can see, he had a ball with big brother Matthew.

Well, although my best friend Robert and I never got around to getting matching Thing 1 and Thing 2 tattoos, we were able to get our children in matching t-shirts with the characters on them. They've almost outgrown the shirts.

Devin was really excited to watch the fireworks. I thought that he might be scared and cry, but he was a trooper.
