My First Trip To The Emergency Room

Well, I thought my Daddy's medication was candy, so I thought I would try some for myself. I ended up in the emergency room with an IV. I was a BIG boy and didn't cry one time. I got to eat chips, pudding and drink a lot of juice. Mommy and Daddy were very thankful to God that I was going to be okay. They hope this will also be my last trip to the hospital.

Can You Say "Grumpy"

Poor baby didn't get his normal 10 to 12 hours of sleep. It was maybe 5. The nurses had to keep coming in every hour to check his glucose levels, which was a prick to his fingers every time. He never cried. He even told the nurse "bye" once. They were all amazed at how well he did and helpful and polite he was. The staff was great.

Ride 'em Cowboy

We took Devin into the pediatric playroom to kill some time while we waited for him to be discharged. It took hours, but he had a good time playing with the toys. Thank God they have rooms like this for sick kids. The nurse gave him the groovy orange socks to wear so his feet wouldn't get cold/dirty. They looked like duck feet.

Yo Yo Yo, Whaz up?

Devin likes to play with David and I's hats. He tried this one on and turned it sideways. He was "hangin" with Mama after his bath. Too cute.

Who Knew?

Who knew that boys started early with their bathroom reading habits. Devin went four times in one day on the potty and we got excited that he might be ready, but of course, it was short lived. He's still in diapers, but at least we have the pull ups ready to go when he is ready.

Can Someone Call A Wrecker?

Devin had a "car" accident in our familyroom. He didn't cry, just crawled out. He's been trying to recreate the "scene" ever since. He even went as far as stripping all of his clothes off once, including his diaper. I think he was trying to make it more dramatic. Maybe he'll be in the movies someday.

Our Big Boy Turned 17

Matthew turned 17 on the January 30th. It's hard to believe how much he has grown and changed. He's on his "final countdown" to becoming an adult. We are looking forward to what the future will bring him.

Following In Big Brothers Footsteps?

Devin was so excited for his big brother, he wanted to try on the uniform too. We might have a future pizza maker. He sure loves to eat pizza.

Our Son Got His First Job

Matthew started his first job on January 28th. He's working at Round Table Pizza slinging pies. We're really proud to see him take another step toward manhood.

A Pretty View Of The Mountains

The mountains looked beautiful after our last set of storms that came through. We want to take the kids up there soon to play in the snow.
