Well, this is the second year that the AMGEN Tour has had a leg start in Visalia. This is the first time we went downtown to see the riders and all the hoopla. Devin was saying hi to everyone. He had a fun time and we got close enough to reach out and touch Lance Armstrong, although we didn't actually try to touch him as we probably would have been tackled by his security team that is somewhat surrounding him. It was fun to see all the riders and their very expensive bicycles.
Devin got to sit in a CHP cruiser, he started to cry so Mama had to come to his rescue. We told him he should only cry if he's in the back seat, not the front. Then he got to meet Smokey the Bear. He went right up and shook his hand and then wanted Smokey to pick him up. It was too cute.
We made a trip last weekend to San Francisco with Meemee and Paapa Tom and our friends Dave and Joan who are visiting from Pennsylvania. The fog eventually burned off and the sun came out. It was a long day, but had a great time. Last time we were there, Devin had just started to bake in Mama's oven.
Well, we had a long day driving to San Francisco and then down the 101 to Monterey. We stopped at Gianni's for some pizza. Devin was waiting patiently and our friends Dave and Joan were wiped out. They aren't used to staying up past 7pm or so. It was well worth it though.
Well, we stopped at Bravo Farms on our way to Sal's for dinner and found a chopper Devin's size. He wasn't afraid of it since it wasn't running and didn't make any noise.
