Dana was less than thrilled to get her picture taken before the procedure. She survived, but her face swelled up really good. Thank God for pain meds or she would have been a real bear to deal with. She did great though, proud of her.
I'm sorry my phone takes poor pictures, but we had awesome seats for the Doors concert. I went with my best friend Robert and ran into another good friend Larry and his wife Elizabeth. What a small world. The Doors rocked as always. I know Jim was smiling somewhere.
We went down to Lake Elsinore to celebrate Chris' 60th birthday. We had a blast and can't wait to get together again. My Dad needs to fix the date on his camera. It says 11/23 on the photos, but it was actually 7/23. Oh well, I can't help I have OCD. lol
Daddy had to work a double and couldn't join us, so Mommy had to do the grillin'. Devin was prepared for the "Boom-Booms". He liked the sparklers until an ember landed on his head and slightly burned a little spot. He survived his wound, but was over the whole firework thing. Poor little guy.
We took a day trip to Yosemite and had a picnic. It was beautiful. Lots of water run off from all the snow. Aunt Linda didn't go as she was home sick and Dana went and visited her Grandma Jeanine in Oakhurst. The Grandparents enjoyed it though and so did our little lumberjack.
Aunt Linda has come out to visit from Pennsylvania. David took her to Sequoia and Kings Canyon. David and Devin decided to take a hike, literally, all the way to the top of Mono Rock. Can you say "Where's my oxygen tank"?
We were quite surprised to find 5 little baby birds in a nest, inside of our fern, hanging on the patio. They were so cute and would start chirping frantically when it was time to eat. It was only a couple of weeks and they flew the coop.
We had a great time at Disneyland with our nephew Kyle and the Baxter family. Devin was a little gentleman and held Hayden's hand everywhere. He also liked hanging out with his cousin Kyle. His quote for the day on the Nemo ride "I like this place Mom, it's awesome" Gotta love it.
Dana had a small choir solo at their last performance for the year. She did great and I am so proud of her. Of course I had to get the Diva some flowers. ;)
The flowers along the walk way were going to get yanked because they were all dried up and dead looking. Then, lo and behold, they turned green and bloomed beautiful flowers. We were shocked in a wonderful way.
Dana is such a good big sister helping baby brother color eggs. Devin had no trouble finding his Easter Egg basket. Thanks be to Jesus for dying for us and rising again. Without you, we are nothing.
Dana and David had fun on the bumper cars. Devin wasn't quite big enough for them, so he went and drove a big rig instead. He might give Grandpa Tom a run for his money being a truck driver someday.
We stopped at Casa De Fruita on our way to Monterey/Santa Cruz. Devin loved the little trains and we all got to take a ride on one. Maybe he'll be a conductor someday.
St. Patty's Day is a big holiday in the Plunkett household. We really get into the spirit and be sure that if you don't wear green, you will get pinched.
